Rowing Programs

Masters Program: The Masters program row in four- or eight-person sweep boats (one oar per rower) and also one-person boats (two oars). The group rows at least once a week. The Message Board is used to sign up for rows.

Learn-to-Row Program: The Learn-to-Row is held two times each summer for anyone in the community interested in learning to row. It is conducted by volunteer clug members and is a four-week course. Read more.

Juniors Program: The Juniors Program began in the fall of 1993 under the direction of Nancy Den Besten with 17 students from the St Katharine's St. Mark's Preparatory School. In 1995, the high school program invited other students from area schools to join the sculling program. Since 1995, hundreds of young people from the Quad City area have been introduced to the sport of rowing and have earned scholarships at universities such as Harvard, Yale, and Cornell.

Corporate Row: Corporate Row provides companies the opportunity to get members of their organization involved in a two week abbreviated Learn-to-Row experience that culminates in a fun but competitive regatta pitting the various company crews in a challenge to show off their newly acquired skills.   Here is some information about the 2009 Corporate Row
